In cooperation with the Institute for Solid State Electronics of the TU Dresden, the deflection method and the compensation method were compared for the design of sensors. For the compensation method, a controller has to be designed. Systematic design criteria were given and cataloged for P, PI and PID controllers. In principle, the proposed method is also applicable to certain classes of nonlinear system models (e.g. based on the Small Gain Theorem or Popov’s stability test).
